My snail is floating around for a day now. Is he/she dead or what? What should/can I do?
Apple snail FAQWell, apple snails can be very inactive for days (see answer above this one) and if they have a lot of air in their lung, they float (sounds logical isn't it?). Floating of an apple snail doesn't indicate that there is something wrong or that he/she is dead. To check if the snail is alive, take it out of the water and see if you can get it moving by touching the shell door.
Why do I sometimes find dead fish floating in the lake?
Shadow Lakes Association Inc. - Area HistoryIt is not uncommon to find the occasional dead fish floating in our waterways. Fish that have been caught by anglers, then released, may have been over-stressed, and die. Also, fluctuating water levels can destroy the habitat of smaller fish, causing them to die. Since many fish live in weeds, when the weeds die, their decomposing robs the water of oxygen, again leading to the death of smaller fish. This is probably the biggest cause. See similar questions...

Is COM+ dead?
Andy Mc's .NET Framework FAQNot immediately. The approach for .NET 1.0 was to provide access to the existing COM+ services (through an interop layer) rather than replace the services with native .NET ones. Various tools and attributes were provided to make this as painless as possible. Over time it is expected that interop will become more seamless - this may mean that some services become a core part of the CLR, and/or it may mean that some services will be rewritten as managed code which runs on top of the CLR. Aunt Julie Pet Communicator - FAQsYou'll find that both are covered in this same write-up. It's a bit long but should prove informative. discussed elsewhere on this site, animals are quite telepathic - they do this naturally. The "barks" and "meows" are what their bodies' sounds are literally physically capable of and are unto themselves one way an animal communicates. They utilize sound waves just as we do, but a dog can't "speak" as we do. Nor can a dolphin roar like a lion. See similar questions...
