All models of our "Classic" product line uses approximately 3 kw/hrs. to produce one gallon of water. NO! Although it makes sense to do so, the fittings and tubing that the water must pass through are not high temperature rated. Doing so could damage those components and will void all warranties. However, you may use hot water for the manual distillers such as the Mini Classic.

Electrolux Air cleaner’s electrical consumption is very low. At the lowest speed, which is the speed at which the air cleaner should operate continuously, it uses 20 watts. This is equivalent to the smallest light bulb. At the middle speed it uses 30 watts and at the highest speed 70 watts. Even at its highest speed, Electrolux Air cleaner does not use any more energy than an ordinary light bulb.

The ThruWall uses 60 Watts while the ThruWall Pro uses 40 Watts. Similar to a medium sized light bulb.
