How hard is the body kit installation process?

eRacings.com Body Kit Manufacturer, Importer, Wholesaler and...
It is relatively difficult, and we recommend that body kits be installed by professionals with body kit installation experience. That being said, there is not a person in this company who has a body kit and did not install it himself or herself. The good thing is that our body kits retain all the same mounting points as the stock bumpers of the cars they fit, and require use of the same mounting hardware as is used for the stock bumpers. What kind of body shop should I take the kit for installation?

Fiberglass Body Kits for Cavalier Mustang Jetta Nissan Altim...
We do not recommend body shops that solely perform labor or identify themselves with crash & collision. We have found that many of them do not have the experience or "know how" when dealing with aftermarket body kits. The crash / collision do excellent work with fixing cars that get in accidents and they make them good as new in STOCK condition. There are some crash / collision shops out there that do deal with aftermarket kits and do great work at reasonable prices. See similar questions...

Can I buy the kit in stages? The frame first, and then the body?

FIA Frequently Asked Questions
Sorry, no. We custom fit each body to the chassis to insure that everything will line up correctly. Frankly, we are much better at this than you could be, and we want to keep the final quality high. Besides, too many people have an unrealistic view of how much the project will cost and would end up with a permanent dust catcher/bad investment in their garage. Not our style. On the other hand, we are very flexible as to the composition of every kit. See similar questions...
