Security is a concern in any loss situation and has been dealt with on jobs using trailer mounted desiccants, etc. If it isn't a whole house loss, many times the owner can and will remain in the structure over night.

When a room is to be redecorated extensively, including new wallpaper and new carpets, it is best to take all the baseboards off. This will allow you to run the wallpaper down the wall so that the baseboard can cover the edge. It will also allow you to strip all the old paint or other finish off the baseboards with a liquid stripper much more easily than left in place. You can also refinish them much more easily.

There is a strongroom for all the exhibitors. They can store their bags here and pay according to the size and number of bags. Private safe on booth is also available on request.

Theft is fairly rare on overnight transport. When travelling by train, all luggage will be inside the carriage with you, probably within your sight. On overnight buses luggage is locked in compartments underneath the seating areas so no-one can get to luggage during the journey. On buses, be aware that thieves have been known to take the seat behind you, cut your bag and take your belongings before you realise it.

The battery powers both the decoder and radio boards. When the scanner is idle, the decoder board is also idle, but the radio board is still operating. The radio board is designed to verify that the base is still within range or, to search for the base if the base is powered down.
