You are missing the CODEC (compressor/decompressor) that the AVI file is encoded with. You can test this by attempting to playback the file through Media Player. If Media Player gives you a similar message, then you will need to obtain the CODEC that was used to compress the file before you can convert it to MPEG. Not likely. First easy way to test the mixer is flip the BOOTH CUE / MASTER toggle switch, up to the CUE position. If the audio from the BOOTH OUTPUT is now much louder then the mixer is fine and you need to run your levels higher. Make sure to set the INPUT GAIN controls so that the SIG / OL LEDs flash green.
