You can't use the insert key in combination with most letters on the AG-5. To activate the insert command, you have to simultaneously press the AG-5's green shift key and the delete key. When you press the green shift key, most of the AG-5's keys switch functionality from generating letters to generating punctuations. I currently offer flutes in a 1, 4, 5 and 6 key configuration, usually forgoing the 2 bottom keys (C and C#) for affordability. Of the key configurations, I recommend the 5 key as the most logical. The C natural key is redundant, since an easier to finger C natural can be played by a simple cross fingering (OXO XXX) and vents as well as the other notes of the D scale. Because Microsoft says so. Basically, it is very difficult to simulate this type of event for only a certain window. The only foolproof solution is to use the function keybd_event, which simulates the keypresses at a very low level. However, keybd_event sends the keys to the foreground window only. Tab group traversal is based on the "Navigation type" resource (core resources, Settings page). If a widget hierarchy contains only widgets with the resource "Navigation type" set to NONE, TAB_GROUP or STICKY_TAB_GROUP, the tab key moves the focus in a left to right and top to bottom order.
