The only complication is that occasionally an uninstall procedure will ask you to decide if a shared file/component should be removed or not. Shared files are used by your PC to reduce the amount of space used on the drive. The uninstall program is generally clever enough to work out if the shared files it is about to delete are actually being used by another application or not.
