Wheel alignment is defined as the angle of the wheels of a vehicle, and/or suspension and steering components, relative to: Each other, the centerline of the vehicle and the direction of travel. For front wheel alignment, the 3 angles of alignment are : Caster, Camber and Toe. Depending on road surface conditions it is recommended that this is done at least at every vehicle service.

Inspect your tires regularly: at least once a month inspect your tires closely for signs of uneven wear. Uneven wear patterns may be caused by improper inflation pressure, misalignment, improper balance or suspension neglect. If not corrected, further tire damage will occur. These conditions shorten the life of your tires and may result in loss of vehicle control and serious personal injury.

It is advised to do a wheel alignment whenever you have your tyres changed or when the wheel assembly has been removed and refitted. You should also get your wheels aligned if you see one-sided wear on the tyre.

Chocks are devices placed in front of and behind a wheel to keep it from rolling. Generally you want 4 chocks for your pop-up (2 for each wheel) which should be placed firmly in front of and behind both wheels BEFORE you disconnect from the tow vehicle. I have read many stories where people forgot to chock the wheels and the pop-up when for a ride by itself.

Some will tell you "Yes, remove their wheel for 3 days". Honestly though, I never have. Again, this is a comfort issue for you. If you feel that leaving the wheel could make them further injure themselves (and risk SM) then by all means, remove their wheel. It definitely won't hurt them to go without their wheel for a few days. With my gliders, it seems as if the wheel provides a distraction for them as well as a stress reliever. It is very hard for them to chew if they are running.

A front end alignment is needed when the vehicle has excessive tire wear, when the vehicle pulls or when new tires are purchased to ensure maximum mileage from your new tires. Sometimes a pull is worn into the tires and will remain even after an alignment is performed unless the tires are rotated. We get a lot of requests for wheel alignment for a shaking symptom. This is usually a tire balancing problem, a bad tire condition or a warped brake rotor.

Lowering your car changes the camber, which in turn changes the toe settings. Both will cause increased tire wear, so you should have them adjusted to account for this.
