FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
The main purpose of your power supply is to run your trains. To run your train your power supply must supply energy for your locomotive, smoke unit, sound system , and any lighted cars. You may also need power for accessories like switches, street lights, building and house lighting or any other accessories. Does the Highlander pickup hum if the amplifier does not have AC ground?

Highlander Musical Audio Products. Frequently Asked Question...
No. Our coaxial pickup and preamplifier are specially shielded so that even without a ground the pickup will not hum. Some of our customers live or perform in countries that do not have AC ground. Is there another power amplifier choice?

FAQ
It is important to realize that the power requirements of a fully active and open baffle loudspeaker, like the ORION, are quite different from those of a conventional box speaker. Woofer, midrange and tweeter drivers each have their own power amplifier assigned to them. The amplifier need not have any more output power than what is needed to push the driver to its full cone excursion. Any more power than that can lead to damage of the driver.

Do I Need An Amplifier?

Strong Signals - New Scanner Users FAQ
The problem is that most people tend to oversimplify the problem of weak signal reception and how it can best be solved. While adding a preamplifier will boost weak signals so that they can be heard easier, this device also boosts ambient noise as well as already strong signals. The biggest problem here is that by increasing the strength of already strong signals, you are bombarding your receiver with a large amount of radio frequency energy it might not be able to handle.

What size power cable do I need?

ICECavern.co.uk FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions )
Many people use the wrong size cable for their systems but working out what power cable you need is actually very simple. Add all the ratings together. ie total each amp so a 2x50wrms amp would be 100, then add the totals together. This gives you a number representing the current draw, in amps, of your system. Then match the current with the length of the cable in the following table to give you the correct size cable to use.

How high off the ground should the Power Bar be used?

Frequently Asked Questions and Customer Comments - The F.O.D...
For the M & MW Series units the recommended operating height from the ground is the lowest possible height up to a maximum of five inches (12.7 cm). This is typically 3" to 5" (7.5 to 12.7 cm). Wireless ISP FAQ - dslreports.com
Most amplifiers used for Wireless ISP purposes (including 2.4Ghz flavors) are rated for output power. Therefore, input power and losses prior to the amplifier can be ignored. Typically, the amplifier is mounted very close to the external amplifier, without any extension cables or extra connectors.

How do I know what power amplifier I should use?

Aaron Hi Fi Frequently Asked Questions
In general the amplifier power should not be greater than the power range we recommend in our specifications. Please note though, our specifications are ratings based on the amplifier specifications being honest, this means that the amplifier manufacturer should be quoting the power as continuous RMS power 20Hz ? 20KHz.

What size system do I need?

Frequently Asked Questions - Drying & Dehydration | Nyle...
The first step is to determine how much lumber you’ll dry in a year. Then figure your average drying time for each of the species you’ll be drying, and you can calculate the size kiln you need from there. For example: you need to dry 500,000 board feet of oak per year. Fresh off the saw, oak takes about 28-30 days to dry, so you’ll be able to do 12 loads in a year. Each load will need to be 42,000 board feet to give you the 500,000 board feet you need for the year.

e -When using my amplifier or combo there is a lot of back ground noise is this normal?

Marshall Amps :: Frequently Asked Questions

Magnecor Race Wires will also be exposed to heat an unmodified production vehicle will never experience.
