Currently, a proxy bid can be placed on an item prior to or during the sale. Once you login to the bidder applet, you can preview and scroll through every item listed in the auction catalog. Next to each lot, you will find the Auto-Bid Box where you can enter your maximum bid. Enter your maximum bid amount into the input field and click the PLACE BID button directly below. A pop-up box will ask you to verify that the amount you have entered is correct.

How do I select a layer "sitting" under the mouse cursor? I have more than 400 layers in my image and I cannot remember each layers name.

This is the case if you already find values set where you would enter the proxy details, or if anything is entered under Automatic Proxy Configuration (in the case of Netscape and MS-IE 3.0.) It's probably a firewall proxy between your company and the outside world, or a caching proxy if you're using an ISP. What needs to be done in this case is to use the forwardfile option to tell the Internet Junkbuster the address of the other proxy.

The alias command creates command aliases. Type alias shortstring="longcommandstring", substituting your own commands for shortstring and longcommandstring. The quotes around longcommandstring are necessary it the string contains spaces. You can put the alias commands into your login profile (see the next question).

Creating too many shortcuts, especially on the desktop, defeats their purpose, which is to make them easy to find. Also, desktop shortcuts are accessible only when they are visible ? in other words not hidden behind windows. When you have several windows open, and you need to use a desktop shortcut, you have to minimise or move the windows to get to it.

Open the "shortcuts.key" file inside Subtitle Workshop's directory with any text editor, read the information on the header, modify the file, save it and run the program.

Shortcuts to your favorite emoticons can be easily created to send your buddies. Simply place the cursor on any emoticon and click on the "EDIT" text which appears on the top of each icon. Clicking it will show an edit box where you can type the shortcut text you'd like, and after pressing "OK", you'll be able to select that emoticon by simply typing the shortcut text in the chat box. Note, shortcuts is available only for icons at this point.

You can quickly access your frequently used folders by adding them to Shortcuts list. This feature is more helpful when you have a large directory structure and the folders are under this structure. Please note that you can add only the folders to Shortcuts and not files.
