It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that these two items are kept current. Please refer to the International Student Information Booklet for further information.

You may travel to the United States on a valid visa in an expired passport as long as all the biographic information on your visa (name, date of birth, nationality, etc.) matches the same information on your new passport. Ensure that the visa has not been hole-punched or damaged in any other way.

A: You may remain in the U.S. on an expired F-1 or J-1 entry visa so long as you are maintaining the status written on your I-94 card, and the I-94 card notes the "expiration date" as "D/S" (Duration of Status). Please note that a student entry visa CANNOT be renewed within the U.S. If your student entry visa has expired and you travel outside the U.S. , you must renew your entry visa before you will be permitted to return to the U.S.

You should contact your embassy about the requirements for renewing your passport, including how long the process takes. It is important to have a valid passport at all times.

F-1 or J-1 student is permitted to stay within the United States with an expired visa stamp in his/her passport, as long as the passport, I-94, and I-20 or DS-2019 are still valid and he/she is maintaining lgegal status. If the visa stamp expires, a student must apply for a new visa stamp while outside the U.S. if he/she leaves and wishes to re-enter the country.

Nothing, unless you plan to travel outside the USA. It's a good idea to contact OIS at least 2 weeks prior to any travel outside the USA, whether your visa is expired or not. As long as you plan to stay within the USA or only travel to Canada. Mexico or 15 islands of the Caribbean for less than 30 days AND your current immigration status matches your visa status, you should not have any problems.

Before you leave New Zealand make sure you have a valid passport for at least one year. If you lose your passport overseas, you will need to contact your local New Zealand Embassy or Consulate where they can issue you a new passport. This may take up to several days to process and you may need to provide two passport size photos. It is often a good idea to take a supply of passport size photos when you travel as you often need these for other reasons, including visas.

You may remain in the U.S. as long as you are on full-time exchange visitor status. On your next trip outside the U.S., you will need to obtain a valid exchange visitor visa to reenter the U.S.

Your visa was for admission to the United States, and you were admitted for “Duration of Status”. That means that you are in status as long as you are enrolled as a full time student at Ohlone, and do not need to do anything about your visa. You cannot renew or extend visas from within the United States. If you travel outside the United States, you will need a new visa to return.

Your passport allows you to leave and enter the country. You should have it renewed at least six month before it expires. You should contact your home country's embassy for specific instructions.

The visa in your passport is an "entry permit" only, so you need not be concerned if it expires once you have already entered the U.S. unless you plan to travel out of the U.S and re-enter, in which case you will need to go to the U.S. Consulate (preferably in your home country) and apply for a new visa stamp.

All Reformation Tours destinations require you to have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, apply for one immediately; it normally takes four to six weeks to be issued. There are some destinations that require a visa. Visas can be obtained on arrival at the airport for countries in Europe and Turkey.

You can accomplish this by contacting the nearest Cuban Embassy or Consulate in your country, except for citizens of the USA, whom wil be issued a visa onboard their flights to Cuba. Ensure that your passport has at least 6 months left till it expires, calculated from your departure date ... If you only booked a flight you must fill in your visa, this visa will ask you in which hotel you are staying ... fill in any address of a hotel and look really innocent going through customs ..

China visas are affixed in your passport on the pages specifically marked for them, and most countries require that visa stamps be placed on those pages that do not contain any other stamps.

If you lose a passport this does not affect the visa granted to you. Your passport contains evidence of the grant of the visa rather than the visa itself. The visa is the permission that is given to you to travel to, enter and/or remain in Australia. You should obtain a new passport from the country that issued it and present the new passport at an Australian Visa office for re-evidencing of the visa. There is a fee for re-evidencing some visas.

On a study (F, M) or exchange (J) visa you may enter the U.S. no more than 4 weeks before the official start of the program. On a J or M visa, you may stay 30 days after the official end of your program. On an F visa, you may stay for 60 days after the conclusion of your studies.

F-1 students are allowed to remain in the U.S. with an expired F-1 visa stamp; provided that they are maintaining their status and that their passport and SEVIS FORM I-20 are valid. Although you may remain in the U.S. with an expired F-1 visa, it will be necessary to apply for a new visa during the next trip abroad. You will need a valid F-1 visa in order to reenter the US.
