Can I exchange a provisional licence from another country?

The licence must have been converted to full in the particular country first. Penalty points on Northern Ireland/UK licences do not transfer over to ROI licences on exchange. However if you are disqualified from driving in Northern Ireland you may not attempt to exchange the Licence in ROI as same should have been handed into the Courts for retention.
