What Type Pipe from Water Meter to House?

Frequently Asked Questions
If the run from the house to the street is short (under 60 feet) I'd use *Type L * soft copper. It is less likely to break and it has no fittings in the ground except at each end of the pipe. I'd also put pipe (foam) insulation) around the copper run. For longer runs my next choice would be schedule 40 PVC pipe. Not a bad choice at all. I would not use flexible plastic - that is black *poly* pipe. It comes in a roll.

Smoking Pipe Products-Water Smoking Pipes Exporters,Wholesal...
Water pipes are made in many different sizes and design. On top of each pipe you'll find a bowl in which you can place your favourite smoking blend. When lit, the smoke is drawn through water before reaching your mouth and lungs. The water has an important filter effect. A large part of carcinogens like tar are filtered by the water. In addition, the water cools the hot smoke and the protecting mucous membrane of the lungs will be less harmed. See similar questions...

Where is my water meter located and how do I read it?

PWD Water Service FAQ's
Most water meters are located at the front of your property at either the property line near the sidewalk or street. The District uses a "speedometer" type meter that works like the odometer in your car... except that it records cubic feet of water instead of miles traveled. The series of numbers in the odometer reflect your water consumption in units of 100 cubic feet (=748 gallons of water). Read the numbers left to right, but don't include the last two numbers on the far right. See similar questions...
