Georgia-Pacific Building Products FAQ - Frequently Asked Que...
The DensShield panel should be positioned next to framing with the coated (grey) side facing away from the studs. Apply mortar or mastic and tile to the coated (grey) side of DensShield. Why are your tiles any better than the tiles I can get at my local tile store?

Kitchen Ceramic Tiles Handmade Ceramic Tile Ceramic Art Tile...
This is something you must decide. I can, however, explain why my clients have never complained. Most tile stores don't have the variety of designs that I offer with hand painted and decorative tiles. In addition, there is no direct contact with the artist. You must tell the salesperson what you want, and the salesperson must contact the artist. This takes time and often costs more. The big companies that have a lot of hand painted tiles, import most of the tiles. See similar questions...

Wall tiles (because they are not intended to be load bearing) are typically thinner, lighter and softer than floor tiles. Wall tile glazes are not designed to handle the abrasive forces from foot traffic. Increasingly, floor tiles are being applied to walls and this is no problem so long as the walls are strong enough to support their weight and proper ceramic tile installation methods are used. Do you need to use tile spacers when installing the tiles?

Exotic Metal Interiors, Inc : stainless steel, copper, patin...
No, you do not need to use tile spacers to install the tiles. The chamfered edge provides an elegant look when installed "tile to tile". The 45-degree chamfered edge provides a natural caulking channel when the tiles are butted together. The XT-200 mastic allows sufficient time to adjust the spacing "by eye" for difficult areas. *Tile spacers can be used if you require large grout lines. See similar questions...

Is it risky to choose tiles based on photos in a catalogue rather than on tile samples?

Tiles in Northern Ireland - info on tiles and marble, adhesi...
We have all seen how photographs reproduced in printed publications such as catalogues provide an image of an object (in our case a tile) which is faithful but not identical to the original, detailed but not necessarily complete. In other words, if we place a tile alongside a photograph and observe closely, we will see that the printed colour, although very similar, is perceptibly different. See similar questions...
