A2: The PCIe 1.1 specification was developed to meet the needs of most I/O platforms. However a few applications, such as graphics, continue to require more bandwidth in order to enrich user experiences. PCI-SIG also saw the opportunity to add new functional enhancements (listed below), as well as incorporate all edits it had received to the PCIe 1.1 spec (via ECNs). In response to these needs, PCI-SIG developed PCI Express 2.0 (PCIe 2.0).

There are many uses for this chip including: 1) To alleviate the excessive loading on the motherboard. A8: WFF is a new form factor being developed within PCI-SIG by member companies focused on the unique requirements associated with integrating existing and new wireless technology into a wide range of usage models, e.g. portable notebook computers.

A9: The PCI Express External Cabling specification is being developed to address multiple market segment cable requirements to extend PCI Express protocol and functionality across arbitrary distances and packaging that cannot be met using existing backplane trace connectivity.

Yes, there is a particular problem with ALL PCIe DeckLink boards - internal keying has to be re-enabled every time when you need to use it (e.g. TitleBox), and this kind of enabling is mysteriously "forgotten" on the next PC restart. Blackmagic Design have been notified about this problem long ago, but obviously it is not one of their priorities.

Our bridge doesn't need a Pericom specific device driver. At the Windows 2000/XP level, the generic pci-pci bridge driver pci.sys is all that is needed, which comes with every windows. Linux (Red Hat 7) supported our bridge with no driver from us, using a default pci-pci bridge driver.

A3. No. Students who already have a master’s degree may elect to take a modified program for Educational Leadership Certification. The modified program is composed of the eight core course requirement, the two specialization courses, and the Administrative Practicum. They will not be required to take the two elective courses in Educational Leadership.
