Fishing is allowed in most areas of the park, subject to all applicable Oklahoma fishing laws. A fishing license is required for all Oklahoma state residents aged 16 & over and for all non-residents. Fishing regulations are enforced by the game rangers of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Striped Bass and catfish are tested regularly and are deemed safe to eat by the Tulsa City-County Health Department.

An IRA account will be a cash account not a margin account. It means that you cannot borrow money to buy stocks. Lake Accotink Park as well as all other parks close at dark with the exception of lighted facilities. If you are inquiring about a particular facility within a park, like a recreation center, you may call them directly.

During the late Fall through early Spring trashcans are emptied every Monday at Lake Accotink. If a Monday falls on a holiday, the cans will be emptied on the following Tuesday. However, during Spring and Summer seasons trashcans are emptied every day or as necessary. If you notice full trashcans you can call the park at 703-569-0285 to have them emptied.

Golfing is only permitted in designated golfing areas, such as our golf courses and driving ranges. Golfing is prohibited in other areas of the parks because it poses a danger to other patrons and mowing equipment causing a potential liability to the Park Authority.
