You want them to be slightly loose, but not so loose that it will flip or rotate easily. For example; if your wrist is 7, you want a Watch that is slightly larger, 7? or 7? should do. If you stretch watch is too tight, it will probably over-stretch and can break in time, be sure it is slightly loose.

If you have a tape measure, put it around your neck with the end at the front. Measure the length that you would like to have the necklace hang at around your neck and read off the length. If you do not have a tape measure, use a piece of string to find the length that you would like to have the necklace hang. Using a ruler, measure how long the piece of string is to the length that you wanted.

Listen to your body. Get what you'll wear. The closer to the painful area the better. However, get what you'll wear! Maybe a necklace would work better, but if you won't wear a necklace than it won't work at all! And then there are a few people where for some reason a bracelet will work better than a necklace or vice versus, but science, does not yet know why, and it may ultimately be a personal preference so strongly felt that the person believes it to be true.

These simple instructions tell you how to measure your wrist properly so you can be sure your bracelets will fit right and not too lose. To determine bracelet size using a flexible measuring tape, measure just above the wrist bone (see image).

Proper bracelet sizing requires special expertise and experience. It also requires the presence of the watch owner to insure a proper fit. If you are not familiar with bracelet sizing procedures, the pins could become damaged and that may lead to failure of the pin. Metal bracelets should be washed carefully in water. If really dirty, use a soft toothbrush with soap and water to brush away the dirt. Finally, rinse with water and dry carefully with a soft cloth. If your watch is not water resistant, be careful not to get water on the case. Cases should be wiped gently with a slightly moistened soft cloth and then dried carefully. Leather straps should be slightly loosened in the summer, when they may absorb perspiration.

You can wear a magnetic bracelet if you have a quartz watch (i.e. a battery watch). A wind up watch will not keep accurate time if worn with a magnetic bracelet. If your bracelet is a super strength bracelet with 3,000 gauss/300 m tesla or stronger magnets in then there is a possibility that even a quartz watch may begin to lose time, if this occurs it is better to wear the watch on the opposite arm wear there will be no interference (unless a magnetic bracelet is worn on each wrist).

The removal of links from a watch is a professional procedure normally done at time of sale. If you purchased your watch through the mail or Internet, it is unlikely that your watch bracelet has been adjusted. This procedure is not recommended for the consumer. If You send the watch to Bulova's Service Department, with an indication of the correct size (length) and/or the number of links to be removed, your new watch bracelet will be adjusted at no charge.

This is a wonderful program run by local police departments. Join it and KEEP IT GOING! The subdivision will have "block captains" that will receive regular listings of all crimes and crime trends in the area. This information isn't readily available anywhere else and is invaluable. This information is then disseminated to the homeowners. When possible, the police will make an officer available to speak at subdivision meetings to provide face-to-face information.
