Answer: The Stony Brook ATP is structured so that the application process is completed during the spring semester of sophomore year, however a junior or senior-level student may apply when the required prerequisite coursework is completed.

We feel that students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate education will be better prepared to fully take advantage of the opportunities in this program. Switches from on campus residence halls to University townhouses or apartments are permitted if all members living in the townhouse/apartment agree to the switch. Yes. If spaces open up in the BME major at the end of your freshman year, the Whiting School of Engineering will contact all Johns Hopkins freshmen regarding spaces available in the program and the process for internal transfer. This has occurred in only a few circumstances and most students are advised to enroll at Johns Hopkins with the knowledge that transferring into BME is a highly competitive occurrence.

If you are a BBA major, you should take your mathematics courses as early as possible in order to obtain Junior Status which is needed before you may take many business courses. In general, we recommend that all students take their mathematics courses as early as possible. This is important because all math courses require that you be proficient in at least intermediate algebra.

It is imperative that high school juniors considering early admission are academically prepared for the challenges of college. Students must discuss their intent with their high school guidance counselor, receive written approval from the guidance counselor or high school principal, and receive satisfactory scores on ability-to-benefit testing. No. Because our classes have a sequential curriculum, we only accept new students at the beginning of school in August. The only exception is for a student who is moving to San Antonio from out-of-state or out of the San Antonio area during the school year and who has extensive prior experience in the arts discipline for which s/he wishes to audition. Students in that situation should call the NESA Office and speak with the Director to arrange for an application and audition.

Not at all. You can attend ROTC Leader\'s Training Course in the summer between your sophomore and junior year years. This is a four-week summer training camp at Fort Knox, KY that covers material and information learned in the introductory ROTC courses. After graduating from this course you are eligible to enter into the Advance Course.
