Feathered Friends FAQ's
Your comforter will last longer if you use a cover, and making the bed will be a snap, but many people like the look of a down comforter without a cover. You can take your choice; wear out the shell of the comforter or wear out a removable cover. You can replace the cover, or we can remake the comforter by putting the down into a new shell. You might think twice about using a comforter without a cover if you have children or pets that jump on the comforter.
A comforter is used on top of a bed and is meant to sleep under. Depending on your preference, it is sometimes placed on top of the sheets, and sometimes used without a top sheet and can be use with or without a blanket. Comforters should drape over the sides of a mattress a few inches. A comforter is basically a large bed cover made with two pieces of fabric stitched along all four sides and filled with insulating material. CampusBedding.
Bed Bath & Beyond FAQ's
It is important to protect your down comforter from dirt, dust and impurities by covering it with a duvet. You will also not have to worry about washing your comforter as often. Instead, your duvet cover can easily be taken off and washed.
FAQ List for Why Buy Down
Ideally twice a year – fall/spring cleaning routine. But even once a year is good. The duvet acts to protect your comforter so cleaning is needed infrequently. What is recommended is some occasional outside sunshine/air during the warmer time periods. With a duvet and proper maintenance it should be fine at once a year and even better with twice a year ($3 in quarters to wash at a local Laundromat with large capacity dryer.)
Feather Bedding Anh & Em
No. Because our comforters are stitched into multiple boxes, the down is precluded from migrating throughout the product both during normal use, as well as washing. This fixed construction comforter design makes the product have an even loft, without having to be 'fluffed out' every day by your housekeepers.
Bed Bath & Beyond FAQ's
That's one of those household myths. Down comforters are for year-round use. Down is natural, lightweight and breathable.
Frequently Asked Questions
A duvet cover is the same as a comforter cover; it is not the filled comforter itself. Think of it as a large pillowcase that is used to protect the comforter. (In Canada and Europe, the comforter itself is called a duvet.) Most duvet covers have button enclosures for ease in removing the comforter when you want to wash the cover, which fits easily into washing machines. Washing just the cover saves the comforter from being stuffed into the washer.
CampusBeddding.com suggests professionally dry cleaning your Down Comforter. However, if you decide to use the local Laundromat (because lugging your comforter home for mom to wash will take up to much room in your car) use the larger commercial machines. Front load washers are best. The most important thing is to make sure the down is completely dry, which is also better achieved in a large size dryer.

Encasing your down pillows and comforter in anti-allergen encasings will help. Whether you're allergic to down or to dust mites that live in the comforter and pillows, encasings will put a barrier between you and the allergen that's making you sneeze. Synthetic alternatives to down pillows and comforters offer very similar warmth and comfort characteristics with much better washability.

During normal shooting, the photographer's face and the camera's eyecup work together to shade the viewfinder and prevent light from entering the metering system of the camera through the viewfinder. When the camera is on a tripod, light can enter the viewfinder from behind the camera because the photographer may be standing away from the camera.

Frequently Asked Tipi Questions (FAQ)
We use the same system that the Indians used to secure their tipi covers - pebble ties. To best explain how this is done, I'll quote from my father's book, "The 20th Century Indian Tipi" During those early days, we experimented with metal grommets and with web loops to attach tie downs around the bottom of the cover. We found that grommets eventually cut through the fabric and consider them to be unsuitable for tipis. Almost all tipi makers agree, and avoid the use of grommets.

If more than one year is involved in a project, the indirect cost rate used to recover indirect costs should change as the fiscal year changes.
Fire Designs: FAQs
We recommend using the cover when not in use to protect the unit and finish from the elements and to keep unwanted objects from getting into the unit. Water should not damage the fiber ceramic logs. In the event they get wet, let them dry out before re-using.
Feathered Friends FAQ's
We recommend washing with mild soap and warm water. We discourage dry cleaning. Dry cleaning leaves down dry and brittle, usually leaves the down a dirty as before; and worse, leaves a residue of cleaning fluid that takes weeks to completely evaporate. You can wash a comforter at home with special down soaps. Otherwise, find someone who will wash rather than dry clean. You can send your comforter to Feathered Friends for professional cleaning if you cannot find someone local.
