Yes, the Pennsylvania Board of Private Academic Schools licenses Saint Francis Nursery School. This license ensures that our school meets the academic and facility requirements of the State of Pennsylvania. The State requires certain instructional programs, the teachers to be certified and facility standards, such as, ample indoor floor space, restrooms and safe outdoor playground areas.

We have a nursery for all three services on Sunday morning for children under two years of age. Our nursery on Saturday nights is currently for children under three years of age. We do not currently have a daycare during the week.

Our Nursery School Program is designed specifically with the 3 / 4-year-old child in mind and heart. This program is a bridge from home to school providing a gentle introduction for a child's first experience with school. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this program. Our classroom with enclosed bathroom offers a nurturing, warm, and loving setting for the young child away from home for the first time.

The parent has an option to make arrangements for the child to attend school while in our care. We accommodate school attendance, but cannot provide transportation. Most often, parents simply inform teachers that their children will miss school for three days. We provide an age-appropriate activities plan for the children.
