The same editorial selection criteria used for selecting articles for the print journal PEDIATRICS are used to select the articles in PEDIATRICS electronic pages. There is a slight preference in PEDIATRICS electronic pages for articles with international importance, due to the instantaneous international reach of the Internet.

The articles in PEDIATRICS electronic pages are indexed in PubMed, the National Library of Medicine's Internet extension of Medline and an area informally designated as "pre-Medline." The articles are not yet indexed in Medline itself; however, we anticipate that they will be incorporated into Medline by the end of 1997.

Articles found on the Research at Penn web site are drawn from communications offices and publications across the University To suggest an article on a given research project, contact the communications office for the appropriate school or department and alert them to the project.
