What is the difference between a two-year technical degree and a 4-year university degree?

A two-year technical degree will provide you with skills you can put to use immediately upon graduation. A 4-year degree will also give you those skills but will also provide a strong foundation in theory and a wider variety of upper level electives that reflect important contemporary developments within the field. The intent of a 4-year degree is NOT to prepare you for a job. It is, in fact, intended to prepare you to enter a profession that will continue to change and evolve.
