We have a few different locations in the Washington DC area that we usually use. It depends on the band (if they are in town for a show) and what spaces are available but these are the main sites:

Although we would like all of our products to be available in all stores, space and consumer demand sometimes limit the number of items a retailer carries. Check the list of Karo pancake syrup to see if your favorite product or size is there. If it's on the list, you can ask your store manager to order it, or e-mail us for the store nearest you that carries it.

The non-commercial entry fee is only $30. The Parade Committee is a nonprofit organization, too, and it costs money to put on the parade. Your entry actually costs the Parade Committee more than $30; the balance of your "true" cost is subsidized through a combination of commercial entry fees and donations.

Mix the batter just long enough to moisten all the dry ingredients. Some batters will have lumps. Overmixing the batter will cause the pancakes or waffles to lose volume and become gummy and chewy.

Ideally, it is best to mix the batter and use it. Prepared batter can be covered and stored in the refrigerator for up to 12 hours. Batters that sit too long can produce pancakes and waffles that are tough with low volume.

Mountain Kingsnakes are to some degree less available than other species on the open market. As with other snakes, it is far better to purchase these animals from reputable breeders either at reptile shows or via the Internet. This gives the buyer a better chance of obtaining healthy, locality specific animals (usually!). This is important when one considers the higher cost for this species compared to other types of Kingsnakes.

A great variety of people use the huts. Some groups use guides, others travel on their own with family and friends. Because the huts are used communally, please show respect for the people sharing the hut with your group. If you prefer a private trip, please reserve one of our smaller huts that sleep 6 guests, or reserve an entire hut. 10th Mountain works closely with not-for-profit groups, the young, and the elderly.

We are quite lucky to operate on the worlds most wired mountain. We have several web cameras, live weather stats, logging and a full-time meteorologist that just prepares the forecast for the mountain. In addition to that we have the experience of 4000+ trips up the mountain. Can we be wrong? OF COURSE, WE CAN BE WRONG. Mauna Kea is a high mountain and like all high mountains it has a measure of unpredictable weather.

Mountain Unicycling(MUni for short -- this name was coined by Duncan Castling and is a trademark of Pashley Cycles) is the art of riding off- road on uneven terrain such as grass, dirt, rock, ice, snow, etc.

Mountain Unicycling is a challenging and rewarding sport. It combines the finesse and precision required to stay on one wheel with the sheer power and endurance required to ride over rough terrain. Mountain Unicycling teaches balance, quick reaction time and concentration. Physically, mountain unicycling is an incredibly challenging sport. Unicycles are direct drive, so it is impossible to coast. That means you are always pedaling, uphill and downhill, which adds up to a good workout.

The South Platte Ranger District is home to an abundance of wildlife including many dangerous animals. If you are new to Colorado or unfamiliar with hiking or camping with wildlife, we suggest that you contact Colorado Division of Wildlife for more information. Karo pancake syrup can be brushed onto baked ham, barbecued meats, baked vegetables or fresh fruit as an ideal glaze, and can be poured over waffles, hot cereal and pancakes.
