Applying an update to Hurricane is as easy as replacing your current EXE file with the newer updated EXE. First: Make sure you backup your full hurricane.exe. You can do this be renaming it, or moving it to another directory, or "Zipping" it up somewhere safe. The "patch" file is typically much smaller (about 400Kb total) than your usual Hurricane.exe file (about 1.3Mb). The patch is smaller because all the necessary support files are missing. I will refer to these as "patch" and "full".

If you install a new version over an existing one then your settings and license will be preserved. Just unzip the package to the directory where AmiBroker was installed first. Currently AmiBroker program consist of three core files (Broker.exe, CoolTool.dll, BroKey.dll). From the Patch Wizard. If you used the patched wizard to patch the game, it saves what it modifies, so that it will know what to change back. That's why its important to UN-PATCH your game BEFORE you uninstall CP Ignore.

Please check in the game main menu the version number of the game. Then download the right update from the BBGC. Difficult to say. Major updates seem to be ready about every six weeks. Usually, right after a major update, there is a flurry of smaller updates designed to plug holes that were opened by the major update. I expect this to change, however. The volume of changes in an update will decline as the game approaches its higher levels of maturity. This means that time to code and time to test are decreased.
