Yes this is a good idea so that the server does not get clogged with mail. You may also find that when there is a lot of mail on the server it takes a lot longer to check for mail. Each mail program (except for Microsoft exchange) should have an option to remove the mail from the server after it has been downloaded (by default most mail programs will remove mail from the server anyway).

Setting up a secondary mail server in Post.Office is very similar to the way you would set up 'sendmail' to do the same thing. In sendmail, you would edit the relay-domains file to include the domains for whom you want act as as secondary mail server. These domains would not be included in the local-host-names. So, in Post.Office, what you want to do is to accept the mail to selected domains, but not to try to deliver it locally. You will essentially be relaying this mail.

Why do I get the message Moved ##### bytes of new mail to /home/user/mbox from /var/spool/mail/user and why did this happen? This is probably caused by the mbox driver. If the file "mbox" exists on the user's home directory and is in UNIX mailbox format, then when INBOX is opened this file will be selected as INBOX instead of the mail spool file. Messages will be automatically transferred from the mail spool file into the mbox file.
