Extreme conditions of network congestion may cause a brief interruption in the data stream to the receiving computer. This usually only occurs during periods of peak usage.

Network congestion will cause the video to play back badly or to keep buffering. Subtitles can only be placed on top of the video. Placing the subtitles below the original video is possible by enlarging the video frame. This is done by adding black bars to the top and bottom of the video. These black bars will be visible when the video is not in fullscreen. They are different from black bars that are only visible during fullscreen playback. Those are not part of the video frame and thus can not be used to put the subtitles onto. You can connect a second display to a Kaleidescape Movie Player or Movie Player 2. The Player normally sends video to all video outputs but they cannot be controlled independently. The settings you make for the Primary Video Output in the Installer Web Utility apply to all video outputs.
