How do I make a crossed E1/T1 cable?

web_faq
A crossed E1/T1 cable can be used to loop back an E1/T1 port, i.e. make a GTH transmit to itself. The connector is RJ45. E1 lines are specified for 120 ohm cables, so a CAT-5 or CAT-5e cable (100 ohm) is out-of-spec and thus not recommended for anything beyond lab use.

How do I make a crossed Ethernet cable?

web_faq
A crossed Ethernet cable can be used to connect a GTH directly to a server's Ethernet port, without using a hub or switch. This is sometimes also called a crossover cable. Shielded CAT-5 cable must be used, the connectors are RJ45. See similar questions...

hardware_crossedcable2: How can I test whether a a/b cable pair has been crossed?

FAQ for isdn4linux: hardware: Supported hardware, its specia...
This question assumes that you are connected by an internal bus that you installed, attached directly to the NT (without using an RJ45 cable). The easiest way to test it is to buy a little cable tester (the author of this FAQ got one from Conrad Electronics in Germany for 29,- DM - just follow the simple instructions). Otherwise you have a bit more work. Switch line a1 and b1. If it doesn't work, put them back and switch a2 and b2. If it still doesn't work, try switching them both. See similar questions...

Can I make my own cable?

Frequently Asked Questions - A Laplink Alternative. Data Tra...
Yes, the pin map is at cable.html. Homemade cables are not as good as manufactured cables due to stray effects (inductance and capacitance) because they are not tightly and controllably wrapped and shielded. Such affects can slow transfer speed, cause timeouts and in extreme cases, can even cause corruption of transferred files. If you want to make your own cable, keep it as short as possible. The heart next to my name is crossed. Why?

Help - Romance Cafe.
Only because it's strange to show you how much you match to yourself :-) Everybody else see the heart next to your username filled differently, depending on how much you match with the person who is looking at your profile. For some it will be completely full, for some - half empty, and for some crossed. See similar questions...

Can I make my own Grizzly Cable?

FAQ: Search Results - Shop Floor Automations
Sure, but it may not be worth the effort in research, soldering, testing, and cost of parts. The cable is sensitive to interference and signal loss, and is carefully engineered, manufactured and tested. This is a known issue with the Comtrol drivers. They are fixing it. In the meantime they have released a beta driver which we have tested in installs and have agreed to support for SFA customers. Right click on each installed DeviceMaster AIR and select "Disable". What do the E1/T1 L1 Error counters represent?

web_faq
The GTH maintains a number of error counters for each receiver. The counters can be used to help diagnose a number of L1 problems. The operator's PDH network is not maintaining correct internal sync. Understanding the operator's sync toplogy is a pre-requisite to troubleshooting this problem. GTH is (mis-)configured to use its internal frequency reference when it should be configured as a sync slave to one of the E1/T1 inputs. See similar questions...

Can rivers be crossed?

Adellion - a massive multiplayer role playing game for PC
You can cross the river at fords or at a bridge. You can also swim across rivers but if you are carrying too many items or wearing heavy armour, you could risk drowning. If we can include wind in the game, it would be a factor in sailing a ship. However, we probably will be unable to include this variable. Moving ships will depend more on the sailing skill of the captain and the obstacles in the sea. See similar questions...

Can I make a data cable into a data/power cable?

Robert Lipe's Magellan (330, SporTrak, Meridian) GPS FAQ
Some of the older cables brought the wire through. If you added a cigarette lighter and an inline voltage regulator to bring the power to about 3..5volts, it could be done. (If you don't know what an inline voltage regulator is, this project is NOT FOR YOU. Connecting 12v directly to the unit will reduce your Magellan to a pile of molten slag.) Apparently the newer cables that are now leaving the factory no longer have this wire. See similar questions...

Quaketronics Flashkit FAQ
You can modify an existing cable, or create a new cable with wires and a 2.5mm phone plug. You can buy a 2.5mm plug connector from Mouser. Here are the part numbers: The polarity is important! Our flash trigger output is a 2.5mm phone jack. The center conductor (tip) gets the positive trigger voltage, and the outer (shield) is ground. If you can rig this up to your electronic flash, it should work fine. If you are going to modify a cable, cut off the end that you are going to connect to the 2. See similar questions...
