Yes, but you will have to have two partitions (or hard drives) so that you can install XP separately from your other system (which can be DOS/Windows 3.1, Windows 9x/Me, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000). Windows XP will automatically set up a boot menu so you can choose which OS you want when the machine starts up or reboots. The boot menu is configurable by hand-editing the hidden file boot.ini, which you will find in the root of the C: drive. See similar questions...

FAQ
t) Yes. A fully functional CP/M 3.0 BIOS is provided (with source code), along with the default bootstrap loader in FLASH EEPROM (again, with source code). Since our original CP/M license with Digital Research presumably expired with the demise of the original firm, licensing rights are a question and we are not able to directly offer a full CP/M package , but we will provide links to download sites where you can "plug in" the rest of the required code and utilities. I read that Windows XP includes a firewall. Is this true?

Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows: Windows XP ("Whi...
Yes. Windows XP includes a firewall called Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), which can protect your home network against intrusion. It's a zero-configuration option, too: Just check a box and it's on. Note that ICF is inbound-only: It won't prevent you from sending out trojans and viruses if you're system is infected. To get more functionality than ICF provides, try a full-featured firewall such as ZoneAlarm. See similar questions...

Windows and GPT FAQ: Version 1.1

Examples of detachable disks are IEEE 1394 disks, which can be easily disconnected by the end user, or Microsoft Cluster Services (MSCS) shared disks, which move between nodes in a cluster. Windows XP supports only MBR partitioning on detachable disks. For more about removable media, see questions 19-21. See similar questions...

Windows and GPT FAQ: Version 1.1

However, the MBR cylinder alignment restriction might cause some difficulties mirroring or striping MBR and GPT disks. See similar questions...

How does KASY0 boot without any disks?

The Aggregate: Frequently Asked Questions about KASY0
The built-in network interface on the motherboard supports PXE network booting. Unfortunately, the BIOS settings had to be changed from the default to enable this feature. Since we had used Etherboot on KLAT2, it was simpler to use a two stage boot, using first PXE and then Etherboot. The Etherboot bootloader then loads a Linux Kernel and a compressed ramdisk image setup with the Warewulf package. See similar questions...
