The Lyme Country Store registers ATV's and snowmobiles. In order to register these, you must present the supporting documents (old registrations, paperwork from the state or purchase documents) to an authorized agent. For a renewal just bring the old registration. For a new registration, when purchased from a dealer, the green sales tax form and Maine assigned numbers for used recreation vehicles. If it was bought in a private sale you will need, the bill of sale, Maine assigned number, serial numbers and horsepower and length for boats. Sales tax of 5% is collected on private sales.
