This is not a training course: you may not go straight into a multimedia production job. For many of you, the jobs you will end up doing do not exist yet. But students who leave the course typically find themselves in positions of real responsibility within two or three years of leaving the course.

Career growth at Bharti Telesoft is based solely on performance. A good performer in the Development stream will move from a Technical Trainee or Technical Staff role to a ‘Head of Department’ role. Bharti Telesoft provides the opportunity to follow different career paths. Individuals who wish to become people managers can move to Engineering Manager type roles, while those who wish to focus on a technical career can move on to take a Technical Architect role.

CFA Career Firefighters are required to undergo a structured continuation-training program after completion of their recruit training. Progression through the Firefighter levels is dependant on the individual completing the appropriate continuation training. This continuation training is mandatory for all levels up to and including Qualified Firefighter. The achievement of Qualified Firefighter rank occurs after 36 months and requires the completion of all continuation training.

Career growth at BOSS International is based solely on performance. A good performer in the development center will move from a Junior Software Engineer to Software Engineer and from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer. Senior Software Engineer will move to either Tech Lead or Product Lead depending on performance and capabilities.

Career growth at Adobe is based solely on performance. A strong performer in the Development stream can move from a member of technical staff role to a computer scientist and from computer scientist to either engineering manager or senior computer scientist.

We expect graduates from the MFE to join leading private sector and public sector financial institutions or to proceed to academic careers. Many will join investment banks. The MFE equips students with the skills to work in any area of investment banking, even the most technical. The economics underpinning provides graduates with a deep understanding of finance that enables them to question accepted practice and make a critical contribution.

There is no typical career path for Young Professionals. However, they will be expected to serve in a variety of positions and at various duty stations, including Emergency locations. They will be expected to move progressively toward managerial, and eventually, leadership positions.

While there is no one career path, Fellows typically choose a career path based overseas. Many Fellows follow a managerial path (Program Manager I, Program Manager II and Country Representative). Alternatively, Fellows can seek technical advisory positions such as Regional Technical Advisor for a particular sector. Often technical positions require additional qualifications beyond what is required for Fellows.

There's no rule of thumb. As a freelancer, you negotiate your salary from job to job. A television director might earn ?1,000 to ?2,000 a week. A top director in Hollywood can have a star's salary. The career path depends on what kind of director you want to be, and it's fairly unstructured. I then owned and operated my own personal catering business for one year before working for BYU.

I graduated with a BA in Broadcasting and moved to Los Angeles. In LA, I found work as a production assistant and worked my way up the ladder in television production. I made the transition to web production when doing video production for a website.

I graduated with a degree in media production and then moved to Los Angeles. After a few months, I got a job working for a production company as a PA (Production Assistant). I continued to climb the ladder from there.
