In order for the GroupWise address book to be sorted by last name, the last name column should be the first one that appears in the address book. Follow the steps below to make last name the first column. The name of each column in the address book will appear above the column and will have a grey back ground. Point at the first column name and click the right mouse button. After clicking More Columns, a screen will appear.

Step 2: Highlight the individual's name in the contact list window and click the "Add" button. This puts the individual's address in the window on the right, where you are building the group) Step 3: This step can be used to manually type in an address of someone who is not contained as an individual in your Address Book. TIP: You can build a group "Family" & another group "Friends".

After logging on, you can optionally set up multiple shipping addresses. This can make it easy for you to buy gifts for several people at once or to purchase some items for work and others for at home and have everything shipped to the location where you want it. To do this, click the "Address Book" link, located at the top of the page. You can add new addresses by clicking on the Add button and following the directions.

If the address book is blank, then the book may be closed. Follow the steps below to open the address book(s) that are closed.

then press a (to add a new address book). Note: use "," to separate different email addresses. or select an address book => press c (to compose a mail message sent to persons with addresses in address book)

Press the Tab Key 2 Times, Skipping Over The Display Box (The Display Box Should Already Be Filled In For You)

Another easy way to add names into your Address Book is QuickBuilder. QuickBuilder setup allows you to search your Yahoo! Mail messages for contacts and add them to your Address Book. It's easy and fast!

When you download Backup Assistant, you will be guided through a series of steps that will create an account for you and backup your address book for the first time. Backup Assistant will safely backup any subsequent changes to your address book either automatically, at a schedule that you set, or manually, depending on the schedule option you select when you first create your account.

You only need to have the views ($Users), ($PeopleGroupsFlat), and ($PeopleGroupsHier) in your database. You also need the ($NamesFieldLookup) view if you want people to be able to begin typing the name in the To: field and have Notes find it automatically in the address books and fill in the rest.

In the Choose an action to perform list, click Import from another program or file, and then click Next. Note: Large distribution lists may not be populated. It is VITALLY important to remember that Soupermail uses the field called "Email" (with a capital E) in your form to determine who is sending the form. You MUST use this field if you want emails to the mailto: address to have a proper From: address. This field is also used to determine who to send the sender emails to.

To send a message to somebody directly from the Address Book, just click on their e-mail address, under the "Mail To" column. You will then be taken to the "Compose Message" page, where you can type and send your message.

You can access several different views of your Inbox by using the View command above your messages. Click the arrow to reveal a menu with the following choices: All Messages, Messages from My Contacts, Messages from Unknown Senders, Unread, and Flagged. When you choose "Messages from My Contacts" from the menu, you will see a view of your Inbox that displays only messages sent from people whose email addresses are in your Address Book.

Use the Frequent Contacts tab in the Address Book to access your most frequently used or most recently used e-mail addresses. When you send an e-mail message the address is automatically copied to the Frequent Contacts address book. You can view the date and time you last used an address and the number of times you have used it. Once an entry is placed in Frequent Contacts, it remains there until you delete it.
