Paper can be made from a wide range of fibres. The Egyptians made the earliest known paper from reeds, called papyrus. The Chinese made their first paper from a combination of wet silk rags, bark, hemp and old fish nets. Much later, cotton and linen rags became the favoured raw materials, giving way to wood fibres in the mid-19th century. Cotton fibres are still used to make money, and companies continue to test non-wood fibres like wheat straw, flax and hemp.

LSA TM works on any material that isn't perfectly transparent and which isn't a perfect mirror. It has been tested against paper, cardboard, coated paper-board, a range of plastics (PVC, polycarbonate, nylon), metals and industrial ceramics. It does not work on clear glass.

The main volume, Great Domesday, is written on sheep-skin parchment using black and red ink only (red used for the county titles atop each page, and corrections and alterations).

The majority of components utilized in our frames are made of 2 1/4" by 2 1/4" galvanized steel tubing for 12 gauge buildings and 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" for 14 gauge buildings.

Both the fiber (bast) and pulp (hurd) of the hemp plant can be used to make paper. Fiber paper was the first kind of paper, and the first batch was made out of hemp in ancient China. Fiber paper is thin, tough, brittle, and a bit rough. Pulp paper is not as strong as fiber paper, but it is easier to make, softer, thicker, and preferable for most everyday purposes. The paper we use most today is a chemical pulp paper made from trees.

Ultrasound travels through practically all solid materials as long as there are no air gaps. Porosity in a material will cause sound waves to become attenuated more than if the material is fully densified and this phenomenon can be used to quantify the densification such as for ceramics and powder metallurgy samples. In general the penetration of ultrasound in all solid materials is reduced at higher frequencies.

The structure is built from ordinary construction materials typically available almost anywhere in the world. This can include steel rods, pipe, or rebar. Other materials necessary for the project include electrical cables and epoxy or silicone sealants to protect the electric connections. While the main structure serves as the cathode, another electrode, the anode, is a special titanium mesh that does not corrode.

We use the dark red, moist type rubber, deeply etched. It is the highest quality you can pretty much find. For wood mounts, we use only real hardwood maple, free of discolorations or blemishes. Our foam cushion is 1/8" thick black cushion, not 1/16" inch thick like you may find elsewhere. Our stamps are hand indexed with Hi Density professional grade black ink. Crowns are made from a variety of materials, including alloys of gold or other non-precious metals, porcelain, acrylic or ceramic.

Fabric with a soft lining of cotton Lycra? pockets that hold the ice or warming packs and are held in place with Nylon webbing and Velcro? to allow for maximum adjustability. Prices reflect size ranges from the typical 20lb dog (i.e. Sheltie) to the typical 70lb dog (i.e. Golden Retriever). For dogs that fall significantly below and above this range we will adjust the prices accordingly.
