In ColdFusion MX, open the file C:\Program Files\ColdFusionMX\lib\neo-security.xml. Alter <var name="admin.security.enabled"> <boolean value="true" /> </var> Restart the ColdFusion MX Application Server service. You can then open the ColdFusion Administrator without being prompted for a password. Enter the new password twice, but don't check the Use a ColdFusion Password box. Click the Submit button and close the browser window. Edit the admin.security.

To retrieve your Account ID or password visit the Your Account page and then click on the Forgot Account ID link or the Forgot Password link.

Click on the Forget your password link in the top right corner of the page. You'll then enter your username and receive the password hint you chose when you registered. Your sign-in information will be emailed to you.
