There are 4 possible test results: "negative", "positive", "indeterminate", or "result not available." A "negative" test result means antibodies to the hepatitis C virus were not found in your test sample and it is extremely unlikely that you have been infected with the hepatitis C virus.

Students who took the exam in 2004 or later do not have to retest unless they wish to do so (to try to raise their scores and improve their chances of being admitted into a specific course). Students who took the exam in 2003 or earlier are required to retake the exam to be eligible for admission to the ATS program.

Not necessarily. Students need to submit verification of placement to a counselor to have the assessment requirement waived offically. Counselors have access to a list of equivalent placements in English, Math, and ESL classes at neighboring Bay Area colleges. Warning: You will not be able to enroll in English and math classes, or classes with math or English pre-requisites until you have been cleared for appropriate levels.

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters.

On the first day of the course students are required to sit a placement test.This allows us to determine the student's level in the relevant language.The test consists of a short written piece and a brief interview and lasts approximately 1 hour. Students who have no prior knowledge of the language are not required to sit this test and will begin the lesson at 9 am.

This small test consists of a dictation, grammar questions and a short composition. It is not eliminatory (all registered students are accepted into a class corresponding to their level). All of our students must sit it.

STAR assessments gain you no certifications but acknowledges the completion of a test in a certain area of knowledge. Upon completion of a STAR assessment test, you will have access to a complete skills summary screen (Report Card) documenting your performance in each subject area that you can view or print.

A positive TB test means that someone has been exposed to the TB germ and follow up evaluation is needed. Once a positive TB test has been confirmed to be truly positive, there is no point in having repeat TB tests in the future. They will not hurt you, or cause disease, but will always continue to be positive. The only written test that your student takes is the Colorado Driving Learner's Permit test. Each of the colleges within the University has a Dean’s List to recognize high-achieving students. Although there may be slight variations for each college, in general students who receive a 3.67 or higher for the semester are named to the Dean’s List. Students also must have completed 12 or more credits during the semester, graded as A-F, and have no “N” grades for the semester (students can select S-N or Satisfactory-NonSatisfactory rather than A-F grading).

A positive antibody test could mean one of two things. It could mean that a person is infected with hepatitis C and is a chronic carrier. Or, it could mean that the person was infected with hepatits C but has cleared it from his or her body. An antibody test cannot tell anyone which of those two categories applies. The most commonly used syphilis tests screen for an antibody to the syphilis organism. Lupus patients sometimes have a very similar antibody. This similar antibody, the antiphospholipid antibody (aPL), can cause an incorrect positive result on a syphilis test. If the doctor suspects that the patient may not really have syphilis, he may choose to then run a different, more complicated and expensive test that checks specifically for the syphilis organism.

A false positive hearing screening test result is when a baby does not have a hearing loss but the newborn does not pass the hearing screening. Hearing screening tests are not meant to diagnose hearing loss in infants. Instead, they are meant to find all infants that might have a hearing loss. Because they are not a diagnostic test, hearing screening tests sometimes misidentify infants as having a hearing loss.
