Because it is extremely quiet, it doesn't require a separate boiler room. Many clients have the boiler installed in laundry rooms or closets. It vents horizontally and thus requires placement next to an exterior wall. The outside vent is small and inconspicuous, but should be placed away from living spaces such as decks, patios, open windows, etc.
