Once you know the approximate length of your practice you can show up in class at any point within that 150 minute time frame. You will still be charged for the shipping. The rug must be packaged just like you received it so that it is returned in "like new" shape. If you need packaging material, we can send it to you. Because of the tighness of the knot and the materials that are used, Persian rugs are virtually maintenance free. It is recommended that you use an electric sweeper to clean your woolen rug and, if you spill something on it, to clean it right away, using a mild detergent like Woolite. Persian rugs can also be taken outside and hosed down and cleaned, again using a mild detergent and then hosing it down again to get the suds out.

Before being made into rugs, the yarn is washed several times, and, upon completion of the carpet, that same multiple-washing technique is employed. This is done to secure the color and to keep it from running. While it is unlikely a Persian rug will fade much, if at all, one will notice that their rugs will age gracefully.

If a rug is going on the floor I like to use black cotton, one and a half inch twill tape. I hand sew this around the edge of the pattern. When the hooking is done I roll the excess binding under the twill tape and sew it along the back side.I do not mitre the corners as it makes them pointy and unnatural. If I am putting a rug on the wall I like to fold the excess burlap on the back of the rug and hand sew it all around.
