The benefits of DermaSilk are most pronounced with continual use as its activity depends upon close contact with the skin. DermaSilk can be worn for shorter periods of time or removed for those occasions where it would not be appropriate.

In keeping with New Zealand's relaxed lifestyle, dress is informal on most occasions. A jacket is recommended only for those intending to visit a better restaurant or evening show. A waterproof jacket and umbrella is advisable.

We move in and out during the day so it's best to dress casually and in layers. In winter, dress for extra warmth, down to your socks. Comfortable walking shoes/sneakers are a must.

Any fencing the keeps sheep contained is satisfactory, preferably without barbed wire. Alpacas do not jump fences. Electric fencing is not necessary, but it may be used. Advice on the correct height settings of the hot wires is best sought from an alpaca breeder who has experience with alpacas and electric fencing. If you live in an area known to have problem dogs it can be worthwhile to increase the height of perimeter fencing.

Wear comfortable, metal-free clothing (i.e., sweat pants, T-shirt, shorts, metal-free bra, etc.). Please do not wear any jewelry etc to LHR on the day of your procedure. While there are some facilities for locking valuables away, we strongly encourage patients to leave all valuables at home.

Wear comfortable cotton clothing which allows you to do exercise. Please limit the amount of jewelry you wear for comfort and safety. Wear tennis shoes for better comfort of exercises in standing

Although not specifically required by NFPA 70E, it is recommended that covered employees be provided FRC daily wear with an ATPV (Arc Thermal Performance Value) of at least 8. This satisfies the garment requirements for a HRC 2 task.

Your shoes are the most important item of clothing. Not to say that you need the most expensive pair on the market, but plan to spend at least $50 for a good pair. Make sure they fit you properly and give the much needed support and cushioning for your exercise. Most shoes lose about a third to half of their cushiony support after about 400 miles of running. Then it's time to replace them.

Basically, there are no restrictions! Original contributions are cordially invited ;-) The only requirement is that it must be possible to somehow attach (normally by rivets) a label (measuring about 8 cm x 2.5 cm) to the garment. Comfortable, casual clothes, appropriate for seasonal temperatures. Shirts should be collared or tight enough around the neck that hot brass won't go down. Pants should have a strong, quality belt capable of supporting the gun and holster. Shoes should be appropriate for working in grass, sand, or mud if it rains. You may be standing most of the day so shoes should be comfortable. Most classes involve some kneeling, bring knee pads if you like.
