It's a folding cot unless we decide to put a king size bed in it. Just kidding it really is a king size bed if it says so on our website. Watch out for the ocean liners when you hit the Atlantic! Seriously, do not try this. Have a plan on where you'll end up and be prepared. Don't stop at any other location other than your cabin, since the properties along the river are private and some of the owners do not have a sense of humor.

In the off-campus buildings, the bed is a regular size twin bed. In Founders Hall, the bed is an extra-long twin bed.

All our campers come standard with a quality high density 5" queen size mattress. We can also offer you a large range of convolute innerspring type mattresses. Ask our staff or if you have the old faithful mattress you don't want to part with we will give you a credit on our standard mattress.

The size of an assembled float bed depends on the mattress size you choose. You'll get the over-all size when you add 36 cm (14″) to both dimensions of the mattress size, e.g. float 16 has a mattress size of 200 cm × 160 cm (78¾″ × 63″), what results in an over-all size of 236 cm × 196 cm (92¾″ × 77″)

Space is a critical component of a good night's sleep. In general, the larger the mattress, the better the opportunity you have for a good night's sleep. Fact: two people sleeping in a full size bed have less individual space than a baby in a crib. A full size mattress is 54 inches wide; a crib mattress, 28 inches wide! Both at the Tree House as the Beach House have good orthopaedic mattresses and measure 195x140 cm. The downstairs room of Beach house also has a single bed. In the tree house you will find a bunk bed. The Beach Suite mattresses are all Queen size.

Regular twin bed sheets fit the mattress. Mattresses are approximately 38" wide by 78" long x 5.5" deep.

Yes if you require a special or continental size we can manufacture it for you. On some models we offer a rapid special size service. We require written confirmation by Email or fax as we cannot be held responsible for errors in measurement on your part.

We highly recommend extra long twin size sheets for an 80 inch bed. Most mattresses are 80 inches. In Prentiss and College House the mattresses are 76 inches, but 80 inch sheets will work and if you move to another hall you can keep the same sheets. Jersey sheets have been very popular in recent years and stretch to fit any twin size bed.

Did you know your innerspring bed is home to a colony of tiny bugs that eat your skin? It's true! Dust mites fed on your discarded skin cells, and most innerspring mattresses have hundreds of thousands of the little buggers. Memory foam beds are much less attractive to dust mites because they have a solid core, unlike the hollow center of an innerspring mattress. Don't let the bed bugs bite!

The medical term for bed-wetting is enuresis (EN-YOU-REE-SIS). It means that you pee (urinate) while you sleep. It is the kidneys' job to make urine, which goes down tubes into the bladder. The bladder is like a water balloon that holds the urine. There is a muscle gate that holds the urine in. When the bladder is full it sends a message to the brain and the brain tells the gate to open. In order to be the boss of your urine at night, all the parts need to work together.

I didn't have an animal as a small child, but all my Duran-Duran-ophile friends got stuffed animals when they heard Simon Le Bon had one, and I caved to peer pressure. *I* still have mine. And I trashpicked a fuzzy (washable) lion in the past year that's a nearly perfect neck pillow. Both, and I always hate the thought that when I'm dumped, they feel about me the way I felt about some of the people I dumped.

Most of our beds are extra-long, so the majority of our students will need extra-long sheets. You can fit an extra-long sheet to a regular mattress, however, the opposite is not true. You will find out your bed length when you get your assignment packet in August, but if you decide to purchase linens in advance, extra-long is recommended.
