Yes. Our program will accept MCAT scores instead of GRE scores. Our Admissions Committee is looking for candidates with MCAT scores that would make them competitive with traditional medical school applicants, thus your scores should meet the minimum standard for UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health applicants.

If you are hoping to matriculate in a professional school the year after you graduate, you should take these exams in the spring of your Junior year. If you plan to do a gap year after you graduate, you should take the MCAT or GRE in the spring two years before you hope to matriculate. For example, if you plan to matriculate in Fall 2010, you will be applying in Fall 2009, which means you should take the MCAT or GRE no later than the Spring of 2009.

NJMS accepts MCAT scores from any year. All 2007 MCAT dates are acceptable for applicants who wish to enter in 2008.

The GMAT is required for applicants in Accounting. The other departments (Finance, Management, Marketing, Real Estate, and Supply Chain and Information Systems) prefer GMAT scores, but the GRE is an acceptable alternative. Scores must be no more than five years old.

Some graduate programs in the College of Education will accept the Millers Analogy Test (MAT) instead of a GRE score. It is important that you contact the department about their admission requirements to determine if this test or other tests are required. Additionally, some programs require the GRE subject test. For foreign applications, we require a TOEFL score of 600. While your GRE score is important, we have no specific cut-off for GRE scores, and consider the GRE score to be just one part of your overall application. All applicants must submit a GRE score to be considered for fellowships or graduate teaching assistantships.

Yes. The status of your application (accept or deny) can not be determined until all materials are received by the Graduate Division Office. If you know your score will be late, then indicate on your application the expected arrival date of your score. Fax an unofficial copy of your score report to the MCDB Graduate Advisor, 831-459-3139, along with an official copy to the Graduate Division.

MCAT scores are good for a period of two years. For instance, April 2005 is the oldest MCAT accepted for entry with the 2008 first year class.

We require official ETS scores. An application is not considered complete unless we receive official ETS scores. The Admissions Committee may choose not review incomplete applications.

We accept scores as made available by the Educational Testing Service. As of this writing, the ETS will make CBT scores from applicants in areas that have reverted to the Paper Based Test avilable as long as the scores have not yet expired (5 years). MSE students at UPenn generally receive no aid. Exceptional students may secure positions as graders or teaching assistants; these positions offer wages but no tuition remission.

The MS-Marketing program has developed a reputation for accepting those students with strong standardized test scores. Target Minimum GMAT scores are 550 with an Analytical score of 4.5. Target Minimum GRE scores are a total of 1000 with an Analytical score of 4.5.

The policy of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) is to maintain GRE scores for a 5 year period only -- after the 5 years, the scores are purged from the ETS computer system. Therefore, if your scores are older than five years, you must discuss with us whether you should retake the test.

All applicants to the RMED Program need to have competitive GPA and MCAT scores. Talk to your premedical advisor at your university.

This will depend in part on the school. For many schools, your scores will be valid for five years. However for some, they will be valid for only three years. The medical schools count backward from the time you would matriculate into medical school to determine how old your scores are. So to determine if your scores are valid, determine when you would start medical school, and count back 3 or 5 years.

The average GRE scores for entering students is 600 to 675 on all three scales - the quantitative, verbal, and analytical sections. Students scoring below 600 hundred on any of the GRE scales will need to indicate compelling evidence of their qualifications through their GPA, references, or professional work experience. The School of Nursing looks at each graduate application individually on its own merits. We look at a total picture of the prospective student. Usually we like to see a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and graduate GPA of 3.5 for graduate and doctoral students respectively. There is no minimum GPA score. We do not deny admission based solely on GRE score.
