In order to support Chinese pinyin characters, the pages of Quia Web must display in a different font. If you choose to enable Chinese pinyin language tools in your Preferences tab, the display font will change in all of your Quia pages. To revert to your activities' previous appearance, deselect pinyin in your Preferences. The pinyin accent bar will no longer appear, and some browsers will no longer display pinyin characters correctly.

For the GTK+ client, you can specify fonts in $HOME/freeciv.rc. For example, style "help_text" { font = "-*-courier-medium-r-*-*-14-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" } For the Xaw client, you can change the font with X resources. In test-footer.hyp put </FONT> With hm_usetable = 1 in the test.rc file, then ran "hypermail -c test.

You need to copy the gtkrc file that comes with the GIMP source (in the top level directory) into $HOME/.gimp/gtkrc . As of 0.99.10, this should be recognized.

If you are using Internet Explorer 5, select "Options" from the "Tools" menu, click the "Accessibility" button, and check "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages". If you do that, you can set your font size to "largest", making it easier to read.

Click on “List Pages” in your admin area and choose any free form type page. Next, highlight the text for which you want to change the attributes for, from within the editor box. Make sure you have uploaded the images as well as the HTML files, and that they are uploaded to the right place on the server. Most PageKits have the images in a separate images sub-folder under the main index.html page. Make sure you upload this folder to your server, with the images inside. The font size we use on our web site is such that it shows well on computer screens set to display at 640x480 and 800x600. Any size (screen resolution) greater than either of these (such as 1024x768 or 1152x870) will make the text appear extremely tiny. If you'd rather not adjust your screen resolution, you may also force your web browser to increase its font display size. Some browsers include a button for such adjustments right on the browser window.

We understand that some web users like to adjust the size of fonts as they view different websites. While our website doesn't have this feature built into it at this time, on most computers you can typically adjust the font size on your web browser by holding down the CTRL key and scrolling up or down using the scroll button on your mouse. In your web browser you can also go to "VIEW," "TEXT SIZE," and select the text size of your choice.
