Write our estimate and will call you with the preliminary estimate amount.The State of Illinois requires you to sign an authorization to disassemble your vehicle in order to obtain a more accurate estimate.

In addition to the simple notice of fine, vehicles may be impounded and towed by the Police Department for parking violations, without any prior notice, for any of the following reasons: 1) the vehicle is disabled and constitutes an obstruction to traffic; 2) if they are illegally parked and constitute a hazard or obstruction to normal traffic; 3) during snow removal operations; or, 4) after a 24 hour abandoned vehicle sticker has been attached and the 24 hours has expired with no action has bee.

Car sharing is about sharing the costs and access to a vehicle. It is not about sharing responsibility for infraction costs. If you get a speeding, parking or other car related ticket, you'll have to pay for it. If the car is towed or impounded while it is out in your name, you will have to pay for the costs incurred.

A person may call the police department and provide the vehicle license plate number to the police dispatcher. The dispatcher will check the status of the vehicle and will inform the person whether or not their vehicle has been impounded.

To dispute a ticket you must notify the court administrator of your intention at least 7 days prior to your court date. If you fail to do so, it may be necessary to make two court appearances. These are usually the hirer's liability and any fines incurred will be charged to your credit card. The problem is that often the speeding fine is sent by post and the hirer cannot always be easily traced after the event so that the notice of fine is sent to the hire company who then have to ‘track down’ the culprit!!.

There is no magic number. Several factors and conditions are considered. Generally speaking, any vehicle with repeat violations may be towed. Those who request release of a vehicle after the service vehicle is dispatched are responsible for immediate payment of the road call fee of $45. Please call 985-7000 or in the event we're closed, please call 985-7544 in Winnipeg or 729-9510 in Brandon. Outside Winnipeg and Brandon, please call your nearest claim centre. If the claim centre is closed, you can arrange for your own tow, which we will gladly reimburse under most conditions. In Winnipeg, your vehicle will be towed to our compound located at 1981 Plessis Road. In Brandon, to their compound located at 601-17th Avenue East.

It depends on why the vehicle was towed. If the vehicle was towed because of a parking violation, you may get your vehicle released by coming to the Northfield Safety Center. You will need current proof of registration, insurance and proof of a person with a valid driver's license. If the vehicle was impounded because of a criminal act or violation, we suggest you call our office to determine what you must do to have your vehicle released.

Go to Campus Safety. Advise the dispatcher that you vehicle may have been towed. In order for your vehicle to be released from the towing company, you will be required to register your vehicle. Campus Safety will authorize the towing service to release the vehicle to you. You may then go and get your vehicle.
