DOJ standards for firearms safety devices have been in effect since January 1, 2001. The DOJ has certified independent laboratories to test safety devices for compliance with the adopted standards. Any manufacturer of safety devices who wishes to have a particular device certified for sale in California must submit the device to a DOJ-certified testing laboratory. The DOJ-certified laboratory will test the device and forward the test results to the DOJ.

It is advisable to affix the Chinese label alongside the English label. Our "standard" material is a 3M white polyester that is rated to 300°F! This is really an exceptional material. Heat resistance has as much to do with the adhesive as it does the base material when you get up into temperatures over 200°F. Vinyl and polycarbonate safety labels are typically rated to 180°F. If you need to have safety labels that resist over 300°F, ask us about our anodized aluminum plates with a 3M adhesive that can withstand even higher temperatures.

There are no specific dimensions given for this new label, except the tire on the label must be 13mm x 14mm. But remember, it must be in color; specifically is must be yellow text on black background or black text on yellow background and have a red box.
