Lamps are upgraded by the manufacturer every year, so it is important for you to call us to get the most compatible tanning lamp for you tanning equipment. We offer the lowest prices on all Wolff tanning lamps and will be able to offer advice when wanting to upgrade your lamps to a stronger tanning lamp.

The Axis ballast is available for 32 watt T8 lamps, in 4' length or 2' "U-bend" style. We offer 2-lamp, 3-lamp, and 4-lamp 120 & 277V ballasts. We highly recommend using the 32 watt "Super T8" (high lumen) fluorescent lamps.

The bulbs or lamps that Avalon uses to illuminate the VU meter are 14V 80MA mini bayonet bulb. You can find this bulb at many electronic part stores (Radio Shack Part Number 272-1117.) The approximate cost for these bulbs are US$1.50 for two. The fuse that Avalon uses on all units except the U5 is a standard 1 amp 250V slow blow fuse 1 1/4" x 1/4" 3AG or MDL Type (Radio Shack Part Number: 270-1021). The U5 uses a 1 amp 250V slow blow fuse 5mm x 22mm (Radio Shack Part Number: 27-1063).

The "cartridge" lamps for FM-5 and AF-6 tuners were custom parts, but you can swap in a pair of Radio Shack fuse holders and inexpensive new cartridge bulbs for about $10. The "Stereo" and "Tuned" lamps were also custom units, and equally easy to replace. A blue LED and 600 ohm resistor (in series) will replace the existing bulb and restore proper Dynatune / muting to the tuner for about $5.

Scented or unscented 2" standard votive candles may be burned in an Ablaze Candle. Purchase votive candles that burn with a bright flame. A small flame will not produce the glowing effect for which Ablaze Candles are famous. (back to top)
