Silicone sealants cure upon contact with moisture in the air. The cure progresses inward from the surface. Sections up to 1/8' thick become a rubbery solid in about 24 hours. Curing time increases with the thickness of the sealant section. The addition of moisture in the form of humidity will speed the cure rate. The application of heat alone may drive off moisture and prolong the cure time.

Shower before you shave. Stubble is as tough as copper wire but water causes the hairs to expand and become softer, making them easier to cut. After a two minute shower the force required to slice the hairs will be reduced by about 70%. The steam is also great for opening pores and ridding skin of impurities. Before shaving use a facial cleanser to remove oil and sweat which prevent the hair shafts from absorbing water. Lather up.

Once again, rich tonality is the result of a carefully constructed and executed photographic process. I'll summarize just a few points here to give you an idea of how many different parts of the process contribute to the end result: Exposure meters are calibrated and checked regularly. I typically use a spot meter and sometimes an incident light meter, even when shooting 35mm, since exposure errors as small as 1/3 stop can cause critical image detail to be lost in transparency film.

The smoothness of the surface has a major influence on the air requirements. The rougher the surface, the more air will be required to maintain the air film. On a rough, sandpaper-type surface increased friction can cause more wear on the air bearing material.

Slightly textured - similar to the texture to that is embossed into the vinyl top of a car. . We often say that the panels mimic the look and feel of a refrigerator door (the texture is a little different, but this is a great analogy). The light pebble grain texture pattern is embossed into the aluminum sheets (there is no vinyl whatsoever on this cover!).

Almost all rapid prototyping materials can have surface finish and cosmetic improvements made to them. Both SLS and SLA can be sanded, filled and painted to look like injection-molded plastic. Surface texturing can even be applied if time and budget allows. Most parts, however, do not require high level finishing, and are simply sanded and bead blasted. This creates and nice surface finish that is excellent for engineering purposes.

If you have a textured wall, a wood-paneled wall, a brick or concrete wall, or any other rough surface, we recommend the installation of a "liner paper," followed by 2 coats of flat latex paint. A liner paper is simply a blank wallpaper which covers irregularities in the wall surface.

The powder coated surface of the cover is a smooth powder coated satin black finish. The top to the canister is slightly textured ABS plastic that is similar in texture to that is embossed into the vinyl top of a car (or virtually identical to a soft vinyl cover.

After mixing and applying to the surface to be repaired, using a putty knife or rubber gloves that have been dipped in water, rub on the surface and you will form a very smooth surface. Make sure you clean your mixing and shaping tools as A + B? Epoxy Putties and Pastes will cure on metals and plastics.

Our mantels are available in two finishes: a smooth finish and a distressed finish. Our standard smooth finish is like fine honed limestone. (Not shiny like polished granite.) To achieve this finish, we wet sand or lightly acid etch the material after removing it from the mold. Our distressed finish, achieved by sandblasting, has a rougher surface texture and presents an older or more rustic appearance.

No. Many natural stone slabs contain pits and fissures that are natural characteristics of stone. Some types of stone exhibit these characteristics more than others, and the lighting of the room can make these marks more or less visible. The 2 cm thick stone is approximately 3/4" thick, ranging from 5/8" to 7/8" in thickness.

Cured Sika sealants/adhesives can only removed mechanically.  Steps should be taken during application (taping off the area around the joint being sealed) to ensure that the material does not get onto unwanted areas. Sika® Remover-208 can be used to remove wet material that has been inadvertently applied to an unwanted area.
