The sample return capsule, still attached to the main Genesis spacecraft, will be aligned to its proper entry orientation about six hours before entry. At that time it will be spun to 15 revolutions per minute, adding stability for its descent into Earth's atmosphere. The capsule will be released two hours later. After the capsule is released, the main spacecraft will be diverted so it cannot collide with the sample return capsule.

The Genesis sample, consisting of protons, ions and atoms from the Sun, does not pose any risk to the Earth. The National Research Council's Space Studies Board determined that the sample has no potential for containing life or other material of concern. The samples are handled in clean rooms to protect them from contamination by Earth material -- not the other way around. They will be housed for study at the Advanced Curation Laboratory at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The heat from the earth's core continuously flows outward. It transfers (conducts) to the surrounding layer of rock, the mantle. When temperatures and pressures become high enough, some mantle rock melts, becoming magma. Then, because it is lighter (less dense) than the surrounding rock, the magma rises (convects), moving slowly up toward the earth's crust, carrying the heat from below. Sometimes the hot magma reaches all the way to the surface, where we know it as lava.

Some have vessels (Servitors of David and Laurence, for example). Those who aren't that lucky arrive in celestial form unless they have some method of viewing the Earth so they can use their resonance at a distance.

For me the metal is ready to weld once it and the flux looks like a pat of butter under a broiler that is just starting to melt. try the buttrer thing first so you know. Once you get the metal to the anvil hit it, but hit it fairly lightly. It will have a fairly mush sound. But once you have a good weld it will have a more solid sound. But before welding I would suggest that you practise your movements etc first. So that you will know precisly what you are to do, and can do it with out thinking.

Well, at school in year 7 we had table groups, and we had to come up with a name. Ours was really long (thought up by me! :D) but for security reasons, I cannot tell you what it is ;~; . The earth benefits from lightning in several ways. First, lightning helps the Earth maintain electrical balance. The Earth is recharged by thunderstorms. The Earth's surface and the atmosphere conduct electricity easily - -the Earth is charged negatively and the atmosphere, positively. There is always a steady current of electrons flowing upwards from the entire surface of the Earth. Thunderstorms help transfer the negative charges back to Earth (lightning is generally negatively charged).

Sampling is the use of an excerpt of pre-recorded material within another recording, and so sampling requires a master use right (see above).

Although your floor should look similar to the sample in the showroom, there are certain instances when your floor might look slightly different. As a tree grows and matures, over approximately 60 years, it absorbs minerals and other essential elements, which can change the color and appearance of the wood. Even wood from the same tree can show signs of variance. For instance, "younger wood" closer to the outside of the tree will be lighter than the wood from the center portion.

We can observe these phenomena better than before, thanks to new space observatories and spacecraft such as SOHO, ACE, and TRACE. Magnetic storms, such as the coronal mass ejection interact with the Earth's magnetic field which in turn can interfere with radio, television, and telephone signals, upset the navigation systems of ships and airplanes, and cause blackouts. Sun-induced storms can damage satellites and spacecraft or force them to re-enter the atmosphere.

The Sun is about 93 million miles, or 150 million kilometers, away from the Earth. The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second or 300,000 kilometers per second. Therefore it takes about 500 seconds or a little over 8 minutes for the Sun's light to reach the Earth.

Seasons are caused by the inclination of a planet's rotational axis relative to the plane of its orbit around the sun. Earth's axis is inclined 23.5 degrees. On the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere, Earth's north pole is tilted 23.5 degrees toward the sun, so the northern hemisphere receives more sunlight. Half a year later, on the first day of winter, Earth's north pole is tilted away from the sun, so the northern hemisphere receives less sunlight.

The closest approach is only to within 0.1 astronomical units (about 15 million kilometers (10 million miles) or 40 times the Earth-Moon distance), and it only gets this close every few hundred years. Over the next year, Cruithne won't get any closer than 0.3 astronomical units, and at this point it will be almost directly beneath the Earth's South Pole (this is possible due to the asteroid's inclined orbit).

Yes, the Moon. Apart from that, there are now a few natural objects known to be in close dynamical relationships with the Earth. Asteroid 2002 AA29 is one of them. We are also currently (23 Jan 2004) working on publishing results on 3 more asteroids. Look for more info here soon.
