Most TV’s, especially LCD, DLP, or plasma, now have variable audio outputs that work really well with Audioengine speakers. Just connect the left and right audio out RCA jacks from your TV to the 3.5mm mini-jack input on the left speaker rear panel (we’ve included an RCA to 3.5mm “Y” cable). Set the volume knob on the left speaker front panel and then use your TV remote to control the Audioengine volume.

It is true that proper speaker placement has a huge impact on sound quality. There are many different theories, but all rooms and tastes are different so it's impossible to specify a "correct" placement. We do suggest you experiment with a few different locations to see what works for you. As a general rule of thumb for the best soundstage balance, the speakers should be equi-distant from side walls and a different distance from rear walls.

Even though Audioengine speakers have built in subwoofers which will easily fill a room and rival floorstanding speakers many times their size, you can also connect an external sub if you wish.

Take them out of the box and place them where you want. We recommend using speaker stands. Plug in the AC power cord and connect the speaker wire from the left powered speaker to the right. We ensure that TV-B-Gone® remote controls can turn on and off as many TVs as possible. There may be some TVs that TV-B-Gone® will not work with, but TV-B-Gone® should be able to turn on and off virtually any remotely controlled TV.

No. Well, that's not entirely true. If you would like to sit within 12 inches of your device you would be able to remote control devices assuming you had the proper software. The problem is that the UX50 does not include a high power infrared transmitter that can be used to control home theatre systems, etc. so even if you found software compatible with the UX50 you would not be able to control anything from more than a foot or two away.

The Sky remote control can work the basic functions of most (95 percent) of the TV sets in the UK. Simply enter the 4 digit code given for your model in the User Instructions. Yes! All TV-B-Gone® remote controls come with batteries installed. These batteries are small, light weight coin-cells (so don't look for heavy triple-A batteries).

From our reserach we found we could put in two 2032 batteries instead (one in the B1 position and one in the B2 position), which are bigger, longer lasting and almost the same price. So we will be putting these in the new models and recommend it when replacing the batteries in all TV-B-Gone models.

Place the remote control for Media Center PC head to head (2 to 3 inches apart) with the remote from which it is learning. On the remote control for Media Center PC, press and hold the DVD MENU and OK buttons at the same time until the remote control lights turn off (2 seconds). On the remote control for Media Center PC, press and release the TV, VOL+, or VOL- button, depending on which command you want it to learn.

Under normal circumstances, the TV Tuner & Remote Control is sent together with our LCD/TV monitors. However, we are able to send them separately at the request of the client. Audioengine speakers were designed to work with or without the Apple Universal Dock. There are so many iPod dock products on the market right now so we made a decision early on to spend our development budget and time on audio quality and other features (like USB charging). Some dock designs are fairly clever and some are just, well, sort of not so good.
