Why do my 'float' variables in MPLAB's Watch window have the wrong value?

HI-TECH Software Frequently Asked Questions
MPLAB's Watch window interprets all floating-point variables ('float' or 'double') as 32 bit values unless you manually change the properties for each one. Since our PICC compiler uses 24 bits for 'float', and also for 'double' unless you explicitly specify otherwise, this means all floating point values displayed will appear wrong. To correct the display, right-click on the variable name in the Watch window and select Properties, then change its size to 24 bits. Back to top

Why can't a composite function block have internal variables?

IEC 1499 FAQ
Internal variables are not required in composite function blocks, since sampling and storage is defined for all possible sources of data, i.e., input variables or outputs of component function block instances.

On Windows/NT, how can I look at internal variables that the Perforce client uses to connect?

FAQ for System Administators supporting basic Perforce issue...
There are the environment variables described here, but the most frequently used are $P4PORT and $P4CLIENT. In addition, p4 set shows some entries hidden [in the Windows registry, I believe] that can be set using p4 set -s P4CLIENT=stella.newclientname To view this internal registry, type p4 set (with no arguments). If p4 client -o works, then $P4CLIENT is probably set correctly; read the output closely to make sure.

How can I find out what variables are in the RIFs?

Medicare Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
To learn about the variables in each of the RIFs, we recommend viewing the record layouts available on the ResDAC web site

What are float variables, anyway?

Infrequently Asked Questions in comp.lang.c
The term ''float variable'' is actually redundant; they are simply variables whose value can ''float'' during execution. For instance: float f, g = 3; f = g; /* f ''floats'' to g */

What is Value?

Gamma FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about Gamma
Value, not to be confused withtristimulus value, refers to measures of lightness apart from CIE L*; for example, Munsell Value. Imaging systems rarely, if ever, use Value in any sense consistent with accurate color.

When using the internal RC oscillator as the system clock what is the tolerance value?

Holtek Semiconductor - I/O Type MCU Series FAQs

What is the use of occurs in internal table? Can u change occurs value in program?

SAP ABAP interview questions
Ans Use of Occurs - If you use the OCCURS parameter, the value of the INITIAL SIZE of the table is returned to the variable <n> Occurs or Initial Size ? to specify the initial amount of memory that should be assigned to the table.

How do the HIPAA privacy regulations constrain what NEDSS can do, if at all?

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The HIPAA privacy regulation permits access to individually, identifiable health information for appropriate public health uses without further individual consent. NEDSS includes standards for security and encryption of these data that are HIPAA compliant. In addition, at the CDC level, NEDSS data will not include personal identifiers, and HIPAA compliant security standards will be maintained. NEDSS infrastructure and standards are supportive of surveillance outside of infectious diseases.

How do you pass variables from page to page?

MiniVend Frequently-Asked Questions
Every user session that is started by MiniVend automatically creates a variable set for the user. As long as the user session is maintained, and does not expire, any variables you set on a form will be ''remembered'' in future sessions. Don't use the prefix mv_ for your own variables -- MiniVend treats these specially and they may not behave as you wish. Use the mv_ variables only as they are documented.

Can Dapps accept input variables?

Dapper: Frequently Asked Questions
Yes they can. There are two ways to let Dapper know about input variables. First, if you start your Dapp creation with a page to which you would regularly insert the input variable (e.g. Google search page), you will see a checkbox next to any available input field when you hover over it. Check the relevant checkboxes and they will be regarded as the input variables. Alternatively, you can define GET variables using the "Advanced" feature in the "Save a Dapp" stage.

What if I have other variables?

Frequently Asked Questions
The only variables allowed are latitude, longitude, depth and time. It also only allows one data type (for instance, if a file had both temperature and density on a grid, only one of those data types could be saved). If the file is in column form then the program will ignore them, if they make up a dimensions (if the data changes along latitude, longitude, and this other dimensions that is neither depth nor time) then the conversion will create faulty data.
