There have been numerous reports of "lip sync" problems, where the audio lags slightly behind the video. Perception of a sync problem is highly subjective--some people are bothered by it while others can't discern it at all. Problems have been reported on a variety of players (notably the Pioneer 414 and 717 models, possibly all Pioneer models, some Sony models including the 500 series, new Toshiba models including the 3109, and some PC decoder cards).

If the video plays back on your computer without problems then your best option is to re-encode the video and choose different video and audio bit-rates. See the FAQ on how to stop movies jerking.

This is usually to do with the speed of the system used for encoding. Older and those machines with low RAM will have trouble encoding video and will often produce video that falls out of sync. The power of the playback machine is also a factor. The larger the viewable video area, the more resources required for seemless playback. You will need to weigh up the average system of your users with the size of the video that you provide, or look to offer multiple sizes.

Cinematize 2 now does active synchronization of the audio and video using timing information from the DVD. Both tracks will now start at exactly the right time and be exactly the same duration. This should take care of the overwhelming majority of cases. Certain difficult DVD discs may still cause trouble, however. Here are suggestions for some of the problems you might encounter: You may be selecting an NTSC video output codec when the movie is actually PAL, or vice versa.

This appears every now and then due to regionfree mode or at playback of an NTSC movie on a PAL TV-set or viceversa. Change region and/or TV-format.

The synchronization result of video and audio is highly depend on the computer performance. Please quit all other programs including any background jobs during conversion. Sometimes, the streaming audio in flash movie will cause the out of sync problem. To get the best result, we suggest to change the streaming sound to event sound, and disable the "Audio Streaming" setting in the Publish Setting Dialog Box when you export flash to swf.

Your system needs the most recent drivers and software. Download and install the latest version from the updates page then run the hardware tune-up utility. If the source is a NTSC source , "Drop frame mode" must be checked in the "Advanced MPEG Properties" page to avoid a lip sync loss.

These problems often occur when watching TV while the Sky+ receiver is recording another channel. We suspect that the problem is affecting just one of the satellite inputs, i.e. one of the tuners. This fault can occur with a non-upgraded Amstrad DRX180, but it also appears that upgrading the disk can cause the problem to surface. Where the fault becomes apparent after upgrading the disk, the original disk can be put back and the problem disappears.

There is a bug in the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback component that affects the video timing when decoding certain MPEG-2 video segments. For your information, since Cinematize 2 now includes its own video decoder, eliminating the need for this MPEG-2 Playback component, all problems caused by this component are now gone. No, you can't. As the audio and video is converted within 2 different phases, it is impossible to sync audio and video because the interaction between these 2 phases cannot sync to each other. However, we'll try to solve this problem in future release.

It is quite possible your phone requires different settings with what we offered or you set. Please get to know more about what proper settings for frame rate, as well as some others your phone can support. If the Advance button is disabled, after you click Audio tab and please click Volume button in Sound Recording panel and then you will see a pop-up window, and choose Properties in Options menu and then please check Stereo Mix in the list.
