Google PageRank (one word) is Google's measure of the relative importance of a Web page on the Internet. The numbers rank from 0 to 10. The higher the number, the stronger the PageRank.

PageRank is a measurement of an individual page's value. Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. Additionally, Google look at the value/Pagerank of the site from whom the link to your site comes. If for example, the BBC link to your site, this will be more valuable than Joe Bloggs. Also the relevancy of the link into your site, in comparison to the appropriateness to your own site.

A -PageRank is important as it used by Google to determine the quality of a web site. Having a high PageRank will result in faster and more successful search engine positioning. The highest PageRank possible for good structure is PageRank 3. To rank higher than a 3, you need good quality links pointing to your site.

Theme relevance refers to how related to one another is the subject matter of two interlinked Web pages. If both pages discuss tigers, then they are highly theme relevant. It's thought that Google may be implementing a system of Topic Sensitive PageRank, designed to pass along varying percentages of available PageRank based on theme relevance. The more closely related the pages, the higher the PageRank amount transferred.
