The show is primarily shot in two clusters of New Jersey towns, separated by the "I-80 parallel". A lot of the locations for "Ed" are in small towns within 30 miles of the show's Northvale headquarters; these include Oradell, Bergenfield, Hillsdale, Westwood, Glen Rock and Ridgewood. Some scenes from early episodes, use Nyack, New York, a town just north of the N.J.-N.Y. border. Farther south along the Garden State Parkway are some larger towns that are used - Westfield, Montclair and Nutley.

Season 1 of Monk was shot in Toronto, while Seasons 2-4 were shot in Los Angeles. There are also occasional but very infrequent location shoots, including in San Francisco, where the series is set.

Shooting switched between the famous Cinecitta studios just outside Rome and the town of Matera, in southern Italy. Matera is famous for an ancient district with caves, streets, and houses similar to Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. The film is produced by Icon Productions, and distributed by New Market Films.

Yes and no. If you give the hero the ability they'll receive the ability at level 1, and they won't be able to put points into it. In order to make the skill a higher level, you'll need to use the upgrade editor to make an upgrade that's an ability bonus, and specify the ability as the ability it applies to. Also be sure to add the upgrade to the Upgrades Used field of the unit that will use the ability.
